Beach Day 6

Only one more day of our vacation :(
It has gone by so fast and we will be so sad to pack up and head back home. Todd went deep sea fishing this morning with Jaymie and Steve, a friend from his old work whom is also vacationing this week in Destin. They left around 6:30 this morning and got back around 2. I had planned on taking the girls to the pool or beach this morning but sleepy head Laynie Loo did not wake up until 11:15! I went ahead and started fixing everyone lunch because it was pointless to start her off with breakfast. By the time we finished lunch and got our swimsuits and sunscreen on it was 12:3o. I looked outside and saw huge dark rainclouds. The girls were pumped about going swimming so we attempted it but by the time we made it to the pool it was thundering and lightening so we came back to the condo. Of course it only lasted about 30 minutes and by the time it was over the Dennie's had made it home from playing putt-putt and were ready to go to the beach. We went down with them and then Todd joined us when he got home from fishing. The girls love the beach and it was a perfect day to be here! It remained cloudy and overcast so we did not get hot (I was even cold!) and didn't even need sunglasses! Pretty much this whole week we have had great weather. The sun has remained hidden behind clouds for the most part and it hasn't been too terribly hot! 11:15 is a record for this girl! She probably would have slept even longer but Kennedy was dying to get her swimsuit on so I went and got it out of our room and Laynie started stirring. She is such a cutie in the mornings! And...she has gone 2 nights in a row now without her bottle! Yea!!! She drinks out of a sippy during the day but we have been trying to break her of that bedtime bottle off and on for a while now! She will go down at night fine but wakes up crying about an hour later and cries till she gets her bottle! As I was warming her one up a few nights ago Robby commented (all in fun!) that she was too old for a bottle. I thought, you know, we are out of our routine anyway so why not give it a try! It worked! I think she is so exhausted at night from all her fun at the beach and pool that all she wants to do is get her pacie and lovie go to sleep!

Kenney jumping waves! They were perfect today! Not too big but not to small!

For about the first 20 minutes after we got down to the beach Laynie stood in the sand and would scoop it up and put it in her plastic cup

Kennedy's collection of sea shells for the day. She found a really big one that Laynie loves to sneak out of her bucket and chew on!
She got it...until Kennedy notices anyway

Perfect waves for jumping today...no strong current or big waves!

Laynie after she fell out of the chair!
Kennedy, Sydney, and Camryn with Sydney's mermaid sand castle! They decorated it with sea shells that we found earlier this afternoon.

Laynie swimming. We finally just started letting go of her and letting her do her thing! She never chokes on the water and is even kicking her feet!

Driving a boat!
The carousel was right next to the boat Daddy was driving. Laynie was fascinated by it so this was her fun for the night!

Kennedy has been wanting to zip line for a long time! I am not sure how she even knows what that is but needless to say when she found out Baytowne Wharf had zip lining she was in!

Here goes Camryn!

Next they Euro Bungee jumped!

It got a little long because they jumped twice in a row so after Laynie and Daddy watched the first jump they went over to the outside theater and watched Princess and the Frog. Laynie is chomping down on some crushed ice. Give this girl a cup of ice and she is in heaven!
Up was climbing the rock wall. Kennedy you ALMOST made it to the top! Only a few more steps and you would have had it!

It was a lot harder than Camryn was expecting. After she was done she just layed on the ground harness and all. She could care less about the line of people waiting their turn!
We left around 8:30. Laynie had not had a nap today since she slept in so late. She fell asleep in the car driving to dinner and never woke up. She slept in her stroller through dinner, our Wal-Mart run, and coming back to the condo and getting jammies and a fresh diaper on! The beach wears this little darlin' out!
