I don't feel like I take near enough pictures of Laynie. I wanted to get some of her sitting under the tree in her cute little Christmas outfit. She wasn't all smiles but I continued with our photo shoot anyway!

Santa 2011

Santa and Mrs. Claus came to the girl's school a few weeks ago. They told him all the many things on their Christmas wish list! The top of Camryn's: a kitty cat!

Camryn's Thanksgiving Feast

Mrs. Ray and Mrs. Whitfield's classes joined for a Thanksgiving feast! They made Indian shirts and even had Indian names and the "Pilgrims" (teachers and parents) served them foods that the Indians may have eaten on their first Thanksgiving. They had rolls, cranberry sauce, beef jerky, popcorn and pumpkin pie. After their feast they watched Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving.

So Thankful

Kennedy brought this home from school yesterday! I think it is the funniest think I have seen in a long time! It says, "I am thankful for many things. I'm thankful that we have friends and family. If we didn't have friends and family we wouldn't have someone to love on. I am also very thankful for my school. We have some place to learn. What I am most thankful for is God. If we didn't have God we would not have a good life. I am so thankful for my dog even though he bites me I forgive him. I am thankful for food. If we didn't have food we would die. I am so thankful that we have a free country. If we didn't we couldn't do what we wanted to do. I'm thankful for the world. If we didn't have the world we wouldn't have anything. I'm so thankful that we get to pick the job we want to do. What if you didn't like that job? I'm thankful God loves us. If he didn't we would not have a good life. I'm thankful for our moms and dads. If we didn't have one it would be very sad. "
AND... Mommy is very thankful that her little girl is so full of thanks and is recognizing God's many blessings at such a young age!

Our 2011 Christmas Tree

Todd decided we needed a real tree this year because the thought of putting the branches on one by one on our artificial tree sickened him! Seeing as this process always puts him in a bad mood and then he is useless decorating wise after the fact I thought this was a marevelous idea! He took a vacation day yesterday and we promised the girls we would check them out of school early and go buy the perfect tree! Well, little did we know it was going to flood! Parts of interstates were even forced to close down. It was crazy! After many prayers from the girls, the rain settled down to a little drizzle around 1:30 so Todd had me hurry and go get the girls. We went to Mary's Place (who was closed due to no electricity but the nice man let us buy a tree anyway!) picked out a beautiful tree, brought it home and the decorating began! The one we got was one of the first ones we saw. Todd actually saw it first and I think he knew it was the one but we kept looking. After carefully inspecting all the other trees we went back to it and took a family vote(all were in favor except for Camryn). Needless to say, she was out voted! It is so pretty and smells wonderful! We are very proud of it and this may be a new tradition for the McGuire's!

Thanksgiving Lunch

The girls had their Thanksgiving lunch at school last Thursday. The kindergarteners ate at 10:30 and then the 2nd graders at 11:50.

Camryn and Haleigh

After eating with Camryn I had about 45 minutes before Kennedy's lunch started so I helped out in her classroom!

Kywren and Kennedy

All the boys wanted me to take their picture too!
Writing what she is thankful for! It was hilarious..."I am thankful for moms and dads, without them we would be bad. I am thankful for food, without it we would die. I am thankful for God, without him we would have no life!"

Daddy made it to Kennedy's lunch! We didn't think he was going to be able to!

Todd and I were able to get away for the day and watch the Razorbacks beat South Carolina in Fayeteville! We went with one of his new friends that has tickets inside! The food was great and I like being warm and cozy while most of the other fans were freezing!

Halloween 2011

This pose was totally Kennedy's idea! That's more like it!

A pop star, a Barbie cheerleader, and Tinkerbell!

Our first stop: Jan Jan's

Trick or Treat!

Laynie was just happily following big sisters, BUT, when Jan Jan, KK, and Aunt Magan opened the door that was just too many potential babysitters for the baby girl to handle!!! She was not happy and started running away with her treat bag as fast as her little legs would take her! I think I will stop here...

To protest!!!
Didn't phase these girls!
