Florida Day 3

Gotta love this green water!


Mommy and Camryn jumping waves. Camryn, you love it! Kennedy does too but she is a little afraid being way out in the water because she believes this is where the jelly fish are.

The crab made it through the night! It did not survive the whole day though! I went out to clean up the balcony after dinner and couldn't find him. I asked Camryn where he was and she said, "Oh, he died!" I asked where he was and she said, "We threw him over the balcony, we should have just ate him shouldn't we?"





Our internet was down last night so I couldn't update the blog but I did try! Laynie woke up at 6:45, ate her breakfast and then went back to bed for her morning nap. By the time everyone else got up and ready for the beach she was awake and ready to go too! For some crazy reason Kennedy is always the last one up so Camryn and Daddy went and got donuts at the Donut Hole. That was a great way to start the day in Kennedy and Camryn's book!
The water was clearer yesterday and Laynie liked it better but sand is still not her favorite friend. She liked the waves a lot and still LOVES, LOVES, LOVES the swimming pool. She thinks she is as big as the other kids and wants us to let go of her so she can swim alone. She is holding her breath when she goes under and thinks it is great fun!
We swam at the beach for a few hours then Kennedy, Laynie and I went to the pool while Daddy and Camryn stayed at the beach. They stayed forever, to the point that I was getting a little worried...come to find out they were taking a nap under the tent!
It was my turn to cook so Laynie and I stayed in after lunch and I went to the grocery store and then started cooking. We had Cajun Chicken Pasta and salad and even had enough leftovers for lunch!
After dinner we went for ice cream and then came back to the condo and played a bit before hitting the sack to get rested for another fun beach day!

Florida Day 2

We got to the beach around 10 this morning. The water is still green and stinky but a little better today!

Going out to dinner...Pompano Joe's. Daddy's favorite! We went two years ago and he got the grilled crab legs. He still talks about them!When we pulled in to the parking lot the line was out the door and the parking lot was full. Todd walked in and put our name on the list and we were seated immediately! The Dennie's were right behind us and they told them a 1 1/2 hour wait! Not sure if it was Todd's good looks or if they took one look at Laynie and knew she was trouble! She was a BEAR during dinner. On the way home she must have started feeling really sorry for her naughty behavior because she kept us all in stitches. She kept saying, "Mama" in her sweet little voice and I would say, "No, say Dada!" She would then say "Mama" and give the biggest belly laugh! This went on and on and on. Kennedy and Camryn thought it was hilarious and I had to video it per Kennedy's orders so we could put it on America's Funniest Home Videos!
After dinner we stopped and let the girls spend some of their vacation money. They each bought a net for crab hunting and Kennedy got two bracelets. Camryn got a splinter from the wooden handle on her net so before the big hunt that had to come out! Not to big of an ordeal but she didn't like it!


On the way back Daddy found a little one. We scooped him up and put him in the bucket to take and show all our friends!

Florida 2011 Day 1

Our first family vacation with Laynie! We left our house at 9:45 Friday night and headed to Destin to meet the Pennington's and the Dennie's. Laynie slept the entire way until we woke her up in Pensacola at 6 to eat at Cracker Barrell (which she loved...she ate all of her breakfast and then some of Kennedy and Camryn's!) Camryn probably slept 3 hours total the whole way down. Not sure what was up with that but she was good! I had insomnia too and didn't sleep a wink! Waiting on Cracker Barrel to open. We got there at 5:45 but it didn't open till 6

We arrived in Destin a little before 9 and our condo had no promises of being ready until the earliest 3 so we decided to go to Panama City and do the Pirate Cruise. The girls had a blast! It was a 2 hour cruise and the kiddos were constantly being entertained. They had water gun fights, got to shoot a cannon, treasure hunts, got treasures, saw dolphins, got their faces painted and got a pirate tatoo!

The cruise was from 10-12 and afterwards we ate at a local restaurant, Bruce's. It was really good! Laynie slept through our lunch. She fell asleep in the car and never woke up when we brought her in!

Our first swim in the ocean! The water is full of yucky seaweed! The farther out you go the clearer the water gets so hopefully it will all be clean in a few days






We pass the pool walking back from the beach so we always have to take a quick swim


I love this picture! Luckily we have a huge bar with lots of barstools! Tara and Robby made homemade pizzas for us!

Kennedy and Camryn got the bunkbed room. Of course this is a great hang out spot (especially the top bunk!)
*Since we are vacationing with the Dennie's I am going to try to blog everyday! Yesterday our internet was not working so I am already a day behind.

Bubble Bath Fun

You all have so much fun taking bubble baths in "Daddy's bathtub!" This time the bubbles got a little too big when you turned the jets on!
