Beach Day 4

Another fabulous day at the beach! I could stay here forever! The girls went out with Daddy to find sand dollars today and got several more, built a sand castle, Kennedy finished her book (the condo has several classics though she can read), and swam in the pool before heading up for dinner. Tonight we stayed in and had a great time! We made cajun chicken pasta, played a game, and made chocolate chip cookies for our chocolate ice cream.

Beach Day 3

It rained until about 11:30 this morning but afterwards the weather was perfect and the water was the best yet! We swam at the beach all day again! Kennedy read quite a bit and Laynie played in the sand more than the water. Camryn loves the waves and the boogie board is her best friend. She rode the waves for hours! We stayed at the beach until after 6 and had a later dinner at Pompano Joes - one of Daddy's favorites. We both got the usual, grilled BBQ crab legs for Todd and coconut shrimp with mango chutney for me. Kennedy and Camryn both got cheeseburgers. Laynie was starving coming in from the beach and at 3 Nutella sandwiches while I was getting ready so she wasn't hungry for anything!

Someone stole my chair, sunglasses, and hat while I took a quick dip in the ocean!

Daddy found the girls sand dollars and you would have thought he gave them each a thousand dollars!

Beach Day 2

We were on the beach shortly after 9:00 and stayed until after 2:00 before heading up for lunch. Afterwards we went back down and stayed until 6:30. The water is even more clear today and we are loving every minute of it. The girls took a quick soak in the hot tub and then swam for a bit before dinner. We stayed in tonight - Camryn requested spaghetti! Afterwards, we went back to Sea Side to get snowcones at Frost Bite!

Summer Vacation 2014, August 9-16

We are vacationing at Santa Rosa in Florida this year and are having a blast! The weather and water are perfect and I am cherishing each second with my precious family. We left at 2:00 am Saturday morning to start the fun. Laynie asked why Daddy woke her up so quick, she was still tired she said! We stopped at IHop for breakfast in Hattiesburg and made it to Santa Rose shortly after lunch. Our condo wasn't ready until 4 so we went to Seaside and walked on the beach and then went to the bookstore and let everyone pick out a book to read on the beach: Divergent for me and Daddy, Summer of the Dolphins for Camryn, and Dog Tag Summer for Kennedy. After Sea Side we still had some time to kill so we went to Publix to buy groceries. Our condo was ready by 3:45 which was just when we finished at the store! We are staying at Adagio and it is fabulous! Huge swimming pools with fountains, a hot tub and an extra pool on the beach! Kennedy even has her own bedroom and bathroom for the week so she is in heaven! After unpacking we went and had a wonderful dinner at Cafe 30-A. Afterwards we took the girls down to the beach for a bit and then for a swim in the pool.
