Summer Vacation 2014, August 9-16

We are vacationing at Santa Rosa in Florida this year and are having a blast! The weather and water are perfect and I am cherishing each second with my precious family. We left at 2:00 am Saturday morning to start the fun. Laynie asked why Daddy woke her up so quick, she was still tired she said! We stopped at IHop for breakfast in Hattiesburg and made it to Santa Rose shortly after lunch. Our condo wasn't ready until 4 so we went to Seaside and walked on the beach and then went to the bookstore and let everyone pick out a book to read on the beach: Divergent for me and Daddy, Summer of the Dolphins for Camryn, and Dog Tag Summer for Kennedy. After Sea Side we still had some time to kill so we went to Publix to buy groceries. Our condo was ready by 3:45 which was just when we finished at the store! We are staying at Adagio and it is fabulous! Huge swimming pools with fountains, a hot tub and an extra pool on the beach! Kennedy even has her own bedroom and bathroom for the week so she is in heaven! After unpacking we went and had a wonderful dinner at Cafe 30-A. Afterwards we took the girls down to the beach for a bit and then for a swim in the pool.

We have THE BEST little travelers! Only heard "I need to go potty" one time!

Kennedy left for camp yesterday at OBU! She is staying in Maddox Hall - the "brand new dorm" when I was there. She is having a great time!

Camryn's Salvation

Camryn has been attending church camp at Family Farm this week. Today she ran to me after getting off the bus and excitedly said, "Mommy I have some great news but I'm not going to tell you until our whole family is together!" She was so giddy and couldn't quit smiling. This is her on our drive home...she said I can't wait to get home and tell everyone! So sweet and such a special day for her and our family!!!

Mother's Day 2014

We had a busy but FUN Mother's Day this year! This is a picture of my sweet card Camryn made me! Since Christmas we have had 3 hamsters: Scuttles (our "boy" hamster that had babies a few weeks after we got "him," then Gracie who only lasted about a week, and finally Bella - 15 days! Camryn got very attached to all 3 and we are still puzzled as to why they die.


We had Gram and Poppy over for lunch before heading to Cedar Ridge Farms for their horseback riding birthday party! We finished the day at Señor Tequila having dinner with JanJan!
