Laynie's First Christmas

The first graders went to The Children's Theater to see Junie B. Jones' "Jingle Bells, Batman Smells" a few weeks before Christmas. We had lunch at Burger King and then headed to the play! It was really good and the actors and actresses fit the characters in the book series to a tee!

Camryn's Preschool Christmas Play and Party

Camryn's preschool had the sweetest Christmas program this year! She asked her music teacher if she could be Mary and she agreed so my precious little baby played Mary in the program. It was so sweet! The first week of school she came home talking about a boy named Brayden in Mrs. Ta Ta's class that said she was his girlfriend. She couldn't believe he would say such a thing and said she kept telling him she was not! Well, of course he played Joseph! The whole program was adorable and her being one of the stars of the show made it even more special! She didn't feel good that morning so I gave her some cough and cold medicine and she was in a daze! She still sang and did her part but you could tell she would love to go crawl into her warm, cozy bed! As the narrator was reading the Christmas story and got to the part that said Mary was very tired, Camryn yawned as if on cue! Following the program she had a fun party with games, an ornament making craft, and yummy Christmas treats!

The food perked her up a little! I think the chocolate cupcake did the trick!

Mrs. Shannon! We love her and are going to miss her sooooo much! Camryn is one of her favorites (I can just tell!)

Back in December Kenned memorized the 23rd Psalm for Sparks. She is also learning old hymns for choir and I get tears in my eyes hearing her sing them!

Laynie makes a bee line for a cell phone or tv remote every chance she gets! She was playing with the dollhouse and

saw an old cell phone that we gave Kennedy and Camryn lying on the floor and crawled over to get it. She wasn't quit finished playing with the gardening apron so she carried it in her mouth to free up her hands so she could crawl and retreive the phone! She is getting to be so much fun and her little personality is developing more and more each day. Her latest trick is to mimic you sniffing. After a few sniffs she will usually start coughing to get even more attention!

Kennedy thought it would be funny to put a flower bow in Daddy's hair. Poor, poor Daddy! He doesn't stand a chance with all his girls!

Camryn asked if she could feed Laynie her cereal this morning and I said one bite. One bite then became 4 bites because she is "four-years-old" and then 4 bites became the whole thing "so that I could video." Laynie didn't seem to mind a bit who fed her!

Laynie is obsessed with Kennedy and Camryn's doll house. We got all the little pieces picked up and put away the other day so now she can go to town!
