Love At First Sight

During my C-section I heard Laynie give a quick little cry and Dr. Brenamin say, "Oh my!" and the anesthesiologist say, "A miracle baby!" I could not figure out what was going on...she had this knot in her cord but everything was fine! Thank goodness I had a scheduled C-section!!! I honestly am not surprised. She was the busiest baby - ALWAYS flip flopping around!

What a proud Daddy!

Laynie was crying the other morning and Camryn said, "She is faking because she doesn't have any tears!" A pretty good observation for a 4-year-old I thought.

Kennedy's First Fishing Trip

Earlier this spring Kelsey and her boyfriend Patrick took Kennedy fishing. She was a little skiddish of the worms at first but quickly got over that as you can see further down! Aunt KK bought her her very own fishing pole and she is so proud of it!

Fresh From Heaven

Laynie arrived Monday, June 7 at 7:42 am and was 6 lb 12 oz and 19 inches long. She is perfect in every way and is our very special blessing from God!

Before I Knew You

After the girl's birthday party a few weeks ago, Holli offered to take some maternity pictures for me...she did a really good job! Here are a few - she took a ton!

Last Days As a Family of 4

We let the girls pick where they wanted to go out to eat Saturday night as one last hurrah before Laynie came on Monday. Kennedy requested Sakura and Camryn wanted "Mexicana" (Casa Mexicana). She wanted white cheese dip and chips only! Since Sakura is also one of Mommy's favorites we got a to go white cheese dip and then headed to Sakura for a hibachi dinner! One last family picture!

We meet Robin, Mallory, and Katy for an afternoon swim!

Mallory and Kennedy

They love for Daddy to throw them - he cannot get too high! Check out that tongue!

While I was changing to go out to eat Camryn took a quick snooze on our bedroom floor! She still asks to take naps if she is tired!

Kindergarten Awards Ceremony

Receiving her awards from Mrs. Butzlaff

I would love to know what she is telling him!

Yesterday was Kennedy's Kindergarten Award Ceremony and last day of school. She got a Kindergarten Certificate for completing kindergarten, a Caught Being Good Award for consistently following rules, procedures, and directions, a Mathematics Award for understanding the different problem types, and a Reading Award for reading on above her grade level. She has made us so proud this year and we are looking forward to our summer home together! The above 2 pictures are her on the last day of Kindergarten and the first day of Kindergarten. I keep looking at it and am amazed at how much she has grown! So sad!
This is a 1300 picture video that Olivia's mom made. She surprised all the Moms and Dads with a copy! The kids were cracking me up laughing and reminiscing their kindergarten year. It will be so special to them one day!

Happy 6th Birthday Kennedy!

Kennedy's birthday breakfast request was pancakes, french toast, bacon and eggs. I consented but then our air conditioner broke and we spent the night with Jaxon and Maci so it kind of threw a kink in her plan. We decided to have jumbo cinnamon rolls instead and have her requested breakfast after our air was fixed. Luckily it wasn't anything major and they were able to fix it that day so she asked to have breakfast for dinner...that is what we did!

We checked her out for lunch/recess and went to her favorite place...Larry's Pizza!

It was career week at school and she got chosen to be the model when an Orthopedic Nurse came to talk to her class...not because it was her birthday - she did not tell anyone. Her teacher did not even know until I checked her out for lunch! She is so crazy!
Celebrating with her kindergarten class wih a birthday chocolate chip cookie

A birthstone ring from Gram and Poppy

One of their new favorite things to play with is a magnifying glass. I found this cute pink and green one and Camryn is trying it out.

A plasma car!

She wanted 2 of these cookies - one for school and one for home! Birthday girls always get what they want!

Happy Birthday Kennedy! I love you so much and hope you had a very special day!!!
